Step Up for Autism
In this heartwarming interview, Dory Matwijkow talks about her son Austin, who is on the autism spectrum and lives in one of our homes. Dory is a huge supporter of our annual Step Up for Autism walk. When we couldn’t hold the event last year due to the pandemic, Dory organized her own autism awareness walk and donated the proceeds to us. Dory also is a professional pastry chef, and throughout the year she bakes and sells delicious treats under the name Austin’s Angels and using the hashtag #bakingforautism, and she donates the proceeds to our Step Up for Autism event.
